This is a timely and compelling novel by a visionary author. Grounded in facts about the planet Mars, artificial intelligence, biology, and physics, the future depicted is shockingly realistic. As are the characters, from the hairy mutant girl, Hope, to the fungus-fighting protagonists, Lexi and Kenji. I highly recommend this dramatic, fast-paced, and well written story as a lens into a world...that could be...in the not-to-distant future.
Never a dull moment (someone is going to use the word rollercoaster).

If, as Elon Musk believes, mankind is to colonize the planet Mars to avoid extinction, then William R. Platt has written a darkly compelling scenario of what can go wrong with such an effort.
Prison Moon is a chilling portrayal of a future that is closer than we think, or hope.
